iPhone Catch Up.

I figured this would be the best way to document what we have been up to these last few weeks....

School has been super busy/stressful so we have found ways to keep ourselves a little less stressed and have a little more fun!

Fitz getting a hair cut.

A solid Sprouts run. They just opened one right by our house! Yay!

Us going to the Fair with the Owen's.

Hikes with my two fav boys.

Brecken's darling baby shower where we made flower crowns! Cutest idea right??

Before...

After... HAHA! Poor guy...

THEY REALLY TASTE LIKE COTTON CANDY... GO GET THEM NOW!!

My favorite part of the fair... No lie.

Fitz was really enjoying the view!

Cadet Kelly and New Beginnings.

So my mom, sister, and myself have been training for a 10k pretty much all summer (none of us have ever been runners). So yes we had to train. But with the end goal in sight we definitely knew we wanted to get cute matching outfits for our race! The best part right? So at Lulu Lemon we found these adorable camo running leggings that would be our 10k ensemble. So my mom, sister, Chloee (my best friend), myself, and my little brother max bunked the night before up at the Zermatt hotel in Midway because the race was the Swiss Days 10k. Waking up early and getting to the race was great, showing up and having everyone stare at us like "why are these girls taking this race so seriously?" was even better. Haha we felt like a pack of Cadet Kelly's (you know Hilary Duff's disney channel movie?) with our camo leggings. It was hilarious.

But such a success! Everyone finished the race! Max beat us all, then Rachel came in second running an 8 min mile!!! Then Chloee and myself came next I got 4th in our age group and this sweet Swiss days beer mug haha and Chlo got 5th!! Then the champion of all my darling mom finished beating her personal time goal by a landslide and placing 5th in her age division!! We were all so proud and everyone at the finish line was telling us how cute we were in our camo ;). Now on to training for a half marathon!!... haha maybe.

Oh, and those new beginnings... Dallas and I started school this week! Yay... not. But I only have two semesters left until I graduate and Dallas is right behind me. So we keep having to tell ourselves we can do this! Oh, and I chopped my hair... what do you think?!

Hope everyone is getting excited for Fall! Happy September!

Cabo Wabo

Let me give you a quick recap of the last week of summer when we went to CABO!!!

It was one of the best trips we have ever been on and I can't thank my parents enough for taking us. We would recommend Cabo to anyone and everyone it was amazing and we can't wait to go back.

I will give you a play by play via photos!

We made it!

Day #1: Church, laying out, and lots of pictures!

Day #2: The boys went deep sea fishing. So we swam in the morning and then walked to the marina/took an adorable spongebob painted water taxi to go meet them and see what they caught!

Day #3: Dallas and I went Parasailing and it was so much fun!! Dallas brought his GoPro for the trip and it was a highlight of the trip! We were able to get so many fun videos and photos. He is working on his editing skills so a possible trip vid coming soon!

Day #4: The day we made our homemade Pollyanna board! Swimming, football on the beach, and lots of pics!

Day #5: We took a water taxi over the the rocks you see in the background of all our pictures. On one side is Lovers Beach and the other is Divorce Beach haha. We got to snorkel and Max and Dallas were brave and jumped off this huge rock!

Day #6: I am not sure if this pic was even this night but my Dad had the mariachi band come play at our dinner table every night. the same song. every night. It was called Camisa Negra. Go look it up it is pretty good but I got embarrassed.

Day #7: Denial we had to come home. Don't worry though Cabo we will be back soon!

xoxo, Carly

Done and Done.

Ok.... So this project started about 6 months ago. AND IT IS FINALLY DONE!!!

When we bought our place a year ago we knew there were several things that definitely needed to get remodeled. The first on our list was our master bathroom. It was so scary. Neither of us even wanted to shower in the shower scary. We decided to try to do as much of this project on our own (meaning Dallas and his dad Kelly) as possible.

I am not kidding when I say everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong. So like I said it was for sure a learning experience for us.

I was so proud of Dallas for getting this thing done and felt an overwhelming amount of love from our extended family throughout the whole process. The list of names we owe thanks to is endless... Dallas's dad Kelly especially, and his grandpa Lynn, and his uncle Mike, and his brother Kimball, and all those other family members that lent us tools... Like I said the list is endless.

We are so happy it is finally done, Let me know how you guys think it turned out.

And for any remodeling tips... don't ask us. Haha. We still have no clue what we are doing.

Oh and just a forewarning... Dallas and I are not interior decorators or have any prior experience with remodeling a bathroom... we like to pretend we are because we love watching Flip or Flop and Vegas Flipping and let's get real any TV show on HGTV. So if you have any advice for us... please pass it along. :)

BEFORE

Ok so it was not this scary to begin with... but close. At this point when I remembered to take the before picture we had taken off the shower walls and the mirror.
