reasons we've been MIA.

Here are a few reasons Dal and I have been MIA...

1. We are slightly obsessed with our dog and every free second we have we play with him.

2. We are both in the midst of finals and are about to lose our marbles.

3. We are remodeling our bathroom that has turned out to be quite the ~~problem~~ project... WOOF. (Before and after coming shortly... hopefully).

Luckily it's easter weekend and my family is coming to town and we can't wait to party, and have finals over, and get our lives back!!

In the meantime... Here are some adorable pics if Fitz... like I said we are obsessed!

It is making me sad that he is getting so big!!

Dallas will snap chat me while I am at clinicals ALL DAY on saturdays.

And the best for last.... Fitz taking getting a bath HAHA! (Insert crying laughing emoji here)

3.21.13 was one of the greatest days ever. I can't believe it has been a year since the love of my life proposed! To think a year ago I was trying on dresses and planning my dream wedding with my mom. Where has the time gone? Easiest question I had ever been asked!

meet Fitz.

Yes... we got a puppy... so here's how it went:

When I met Dallas he always said he would want a dog down the road and I was not as "on board". But... about four months ago some friends of ours were going off on how much they loved their dog and so we started to look online at puppies. Well staring at puppies online for a few hours will get anyone "on board". So we went and looked at a few and really needed to think about if we were ready for this... In the end we decided not quite yet...

Now four months later here I am still looking at puppies online and I found a certain breed I REALLY liked (He is a King Cavalier/Tea Cup Poodle mix). So we went and looked again but still didn't feel great about it. Then we found another litter of the same breed and decided to go look... and there he was.. and I fell immediately in love. He was the cutest thing I had ever seen. We tried to bargain with the lady selling him and she would not budge.. so no puppy.

The next day I was so sad. If it was not this puppy I did not want one... dramatic I know. So Dallas called her and pulled the whole "poor college students" card and she budged! She ended up coming down significantly on her price and he was ours!!! We couldn't believe it!! We love him so much and can't wait for this new adventure!

PLEASE WE WOULD LOVE ANY PUPPY TRAINING ADVICE!!!!

paradise part 2.

The second half of my trip was much more mellow along with the flu... blah:

1. Lunch with Wendy for her B-day at Arcadia Farms.

2. Picked up my best Chloee at the airport.

3. Laid out ALL day long x 3 days.

4. Cured our sun induced dehydration with Green Tea from AJ's.

5. Several dinners with the best group of friends out there.

paradise part 1.

So as I mentioned before last week was my spring break so of course we quickly jetted down to AZ. I am having to split this in two parts because half the time Dallas was with me and the second half of the trip he had to go home to work :(. Conveniently a group of my friends decided to take a trip to AZ the second weekend I was there, so it worked out perfectly! I am loving lists these days so here is our Paradise Part 1 list:

1. My favorite restaurant Le Grande Orange (I am sure I have mentioned before)

with the best crew around.

2. Driving out to see the Gilbert, AZ new temple.

3. Golfing..... TWICE.

4. Lots and lots of sunshine.

as of lately.

While I am on spring break I though catching up on some events from the past few months during our busy busy semester sounded like a good idea. I decided list form would work best.

1. Finished decorating our bedroom.

2. Attended weddings.

3. Dallas continues to be a great uncle to baby Olivia.

4. Went to a Jazz game.

5. Had to speak in church (Woof).

6. Celebrated our 6 month anniversary.

7. Passed mid terms and headed to AZ (separate post most likely).

something about bliss.

We have been told multiple times to enjoy the newlywed phase while it lasts because it's sheer bliss the first little bit but fades quickly... Here are some thoughts on the subject...

1. There is something to be said about bliss... what even is it? Pure happiness? I believe people all have their own forms of bliss. Dallas and I have our own bliss which consists of a lot of laughing, a little argument here and there, but at the end of the day true respect and adoration for the other person. Bliss can hence, last a lifetime.

2. Dallas always puts my happiness above his own.. always.. since the day I met him. I see this selflessness with everyone he associates with and is one of his many amazing traits. (I am working on it too, just not as good as him at it yet!). He makes my life bliss.

3. Yes there are definite up's and down's but you have to appreciate it all. Learning to love your best friend and every part about them is not hard it's amazing and has helped us to grow more and more in love = bliss.

4. I truly married my best friend who from day one has kept me laughing and in our own personal bliss.

5. Accepting the fact that life is not perfect. Life will not always be a cake walk but as long as my best friend is at my side we can do anything and after each challenge taking what we learned from it and bettering our lives/marriage in any way possible. Bliss is what you make it.

Sorry for the rambles. We are just coming off of an incredible Valentines Day weekend, which entailed of Dallas taking me to Vegas, letting me go shopping, and attending the "O" Show. He truly is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me and I can't wait for a lifetime of bliss with him. Here are some pics from the trip!
